You can move your balance between the wallet and your cards and send money to anyone who has a Guarapay account. Transfers land instantly and have no fee.
Two kinds of transfer
- Between mine: from the wallet to a card, from one card to another, or back to the wallet.
- To someone: to another Guarapay user, by email or Telegram @username. The money lands in their wallet.
Step by step: send to someone
- On the app home screen, tap Transfer and choose To someone.
- Type their email or Telegram @username. The app shows their name so you can check it.
- Choose where the money comes from: the wallet or one of your cards.
- Enter the amount — from US$ 1.00 — and confirm. It arrives instantly.
Step by step: between the wallet and your cards
- Tap Transfer and choose Between mine.
- Pick From and To: the wallet or one of the cards.
- Enter the amount or tap All, then confirm.
Rules
- No fee and no wait: both balances change as soon as you confirm.
- The minimum is US$ 1.00 per transfer.
- Only to people who already have a Guarapay account. If they don’t, the app says it found no one.
- Frozen card: you can take money out of it but not put money in. Unfreeze it to top it up.
- A closed card can’t be used in transfers.
- In your history they show as Transfer, Transfer sent or Transfer received.
FAQ
How much does a transfer cost?
Nothing. Transfers between your cards and to other Guarapay users have no fee.
Does the money go to my friend’s card?
It goes to their Guarapay wallet. From there they move it to any card under Between mine.
Can I transfer by phone number?
No. The person is found by their account email or Telegram @username.
